Supporting artistic education since 2013

About Us

supporting an arts-infused curriculum

Capital Area School for the Arts is a great school for students aspiring to work in the arts and in need of technical skill teaching. I have learned so much about my art and myself since coming to CASA. I would definitely recommend the school to students similar to me.

Capital Region Arts & Education (CRAE) is a nonprofit organization that provides financial support to the operation of the Capital Area School for the Arts (CASA) Charter School and raises awareness as to the importance of CASA in arts and education and academic excellence in the greater Harrisburg region.

CASA (Capital Area School for the Arts) Charter School is Central Pennsylvania's premiere high school for arts education. CASA provides an outstanding traditional curriculum in all major subjects, as well as a unique arts education where students complete focused studies in the art field of their choice. The school accepts students based on audition for entry into one of six artistic disciplines: dance, theatre, film and video, music, creative writing, and visual arts. In the short time since its doors first opened in 2013, CASA has become the region's hub for creative and academic talent, now serving nearly 200 students.
